Manitou Group is a French company based in Ancenis which creates, products, distributes & maintains innovative handling/lifting equipment for construction, agriculture & several other industries.
Project description
The MANITOU company asked us to create a simulator for marketing purposes, to present the new intelligent and innovative technologies available on their machines, and for educational purposes, to train users to drive their machine while respecting safety and eco-driving rules.
For this purpose, we have designed a dynamic simulator, composed of a chassis equipped with cylinders simulating the movements of the machine. We created several 3D virtual environments representative of each sector of activity, whose immersion is ensured by an HTC Vive virtual reality headset connected to the main controls of a standard MANITOU machine cab.
